For 25 years, the Link Program has been offering mental health resources for youth in grades 6 through 12.
The program was established in Grand Falls in 1999 after three students took their own lives. It offers support through a designated person, referred to as a link companion, who helps young people who are facing significant challenges and looking to connect with service providers. The link companion helps find the appropriate resource in the young person’s region.
The Link program operates based on the principle that engaging with young people and fostering connections is essential for their social and emotional well-being, as well as their mental health.
