Hi there! We are Planet Youth Woodstock and we’re proud to bring the Planet Youth Guidance Model to western New Brunswick. Planet Youth is helping us to build strong foundations for our youth through population-level prevention measures that focus on:

• Increasing protective factors, such as inclusion, sense of belonging, and community connectedness, community safety, equitable and supervised activities, positive relationships with peers, family, and mentors, and;
• Reducing risk factors, including adverse childhood experiences, food insecurity, unstable housing, and environments favourable to substance use.

What we’re doing in Woodstock

The Planet Youth Local Action Team in Woodstock is made up of health-care and education professionals, municipal leaders, representatives from youth-serving organizations, community volunteers, representatives from Wolastoqey First Nation, Public Safety officials, and most importantly, the young people in our communities. 

The Planet Youth Woodstock Local Action Team is responsible for raising awareness about the Planet Youth model, engaging with the community to share survey results, and developing and implementing solutions-focused action plans based on feedback from stakeholders and the community.
