Recognition of work experience for salary purposes

The salary of a teacher in New Brunswick varies according to the level of their certificate (4, 5 or 6) and the number of years of teaching experience. Please consult Schedule G-1 of the collective agreement (Board of Management and The New Brunswick Teachers Federation) for salary payments.

Under Article 52 of the Collective Agreement, teaching experience and related teaching experience may be recognized for salary purposes.

Please note that the recognition of work experience does not apply to teaching days accumulated in New Brunswick public schools. These teaching days must be recorded by the school districts.

For more information on experiences eligible for recognition (Article 52) and to submit an application, please refer to Form G and the collective agreement
