New Brunswick Strategic Initiative


Overview

The New Brunswick Strategic Initiative is intended for French-speaking foreign nationals who have eligible connections to New Brunswick and wish to live and work permanently in the province. These individuals have the skills, education, and work experience required to contribute to the province’s economy.


Target candidates

The New Brunswick Strategic Initiative is intended for skilled foreign nationals who have the following connections to New Brunswick:

Francophone workers in New Brunswick

You are working in a permanent, full-time, and non-seasonal (year-round) position for an eligible New Brunswick employer, or have accepted an offer for such a job, and meet one of the following conditions:

  • you have been living in New Brunswick for at least 6 months
  • you received a job offer through a recruitment mission led by the Government of New Brunswick

New Brunswick Francophone priorities

You meet one of the following conditions:

  • you are living in New Brunswick and completed an program of study of at least 1-year long at the Université de Moncton or Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB)
    • you must have been physically present in the province for the entire duration of your program
  • you received a letter of interest from Immigration New Brunswick

Francophones working remotely in New Brunswick

You have been living in New Brunswick for 12 months and have been working remotely for a Canadian employer located outside of Quebec during this entire period.
