AIP candidate pool

Overview

Immigration New Brunswick (ImmigrationNB) uses a candidate pool system to manage the intake of endorsement applications under the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP). Both the designated employer and the candidate must complete their portion of the endorsement application. Once completed and submitted, the AIP endorsement application is placed in the AIP candidate pool.

ImmigrationNB selects applications from this pool for processing based on provincial labour market needs, available allocation, and other priorities determined by the Government of New Brunswick.

Applications that are not selected will expire after 365 days. If this happens, the designated employer and candidate can submit a new endorsement application.

Multiple EOIs or applications

An INB profile can have only one active EOI or application.

If you want to submit an AIP endorsement application to the AIP candidate pool and also submit an EOI to the NBPNP candidate pool, you must create a separate INB profile using a different email address for each program.

You can only have one active application with ImmigrationNB. This means you can be in both the AIP and NBPNP candidate pools, but you can only move forward with one of them.

  • If you receive an invitation to apply (ITA) for an NBPNP stream, you must withdraw all your other submissions
  • If your AIP endorsement application is selected for processing, you must withdraw all your EOIs
  • If you receive an ITA for an NBPNP stream and your AIP endorsement application is selected for processing, you must choose only one and withdraw the other
If you submit more than one active application, all of them could be refused.

AIP candidate pool

Endorsement applications submitted are placed in the AIP candidate pool, where they remain valid for 365 days from the date of submission. ImmigrationNB selects applications from this pool for processing based on provincial labour market needs, available allocation, and other priorities determined by the Government of New Brunswick.

Selection

ImmigrationNB reviews and selects endorsement applications them for processing through scheduled draws. Submitting an application does not guarantee that it will be processed or that the job offer and the candidate will receive an endorsement.
