Agri-food inspector

Agri-food inspectors play an integral role in the safety and quality of New Brunswick’s milk supply. They perform inspections and audits at dairy farms and plants as well as abattoirs and bulk milk tanker trucks to ensure they comply with legislation and food safety standards.

  • Providing guidance to producers and processors on food safety and dairy heard health;
  • Obtaining samples for testing; and
  • Enforcing regulations under New Brunswick's Public Health Act and Natural Products Act.

  • Inspecting restaurants, public markets, grocery stores, daycare centers, adult and children residential facilities, and other public places;
  • Monitoring drinking water systems and responding when safety is compromised;
