The Costigan deposit contains a breccia pipe that is 200-300 m in diameter and is similar to the Cordilleran epithermal Au-Ag deposit. In the core of the pipe, mineralization forms an irregular body comprised of a stockwork of veinlets and dissemination in highly silicified vent breccia. Silver is present in amounts up to 75 g/t. Gold varies from trace to 1.88 g/t and is reported up to 97.71 g/t from a historic trench sample. Drill hole LCO-3 indicates an interval averaging 0.98 g/t Au over 10.5 m. A historical resource estimate suggests a mass of mineralized rock of 6-8 Mt. Recent work indicates that within this envelope a subvertical to very steeply east-dipping zone contains a geological resource of approximately 0.9 Mt of 4-5% Zn-Pb. Best Zn-Pb drill hole intercept results of 5.08% over 54 m, 6.53% over 27.12 m, 3.26% over 126 m, and 6.46% over 33 m. The Costigan deposit is close to the Bathurst Mining Camp and is a significant exploration target with an elevated arsenic anomaly just north of the project that could coincide with an extension of the breccia pipe on the surface.
