Overview
This Program under the Canada/New Brunswick Agriculture Futures Initiative will assist NB fruit and mixed vegetable farms to become more profitable by capturing markets through the purchase of season extension and on-farm storage technologies. These technologies will allow NB producers to extend their production and marketing season.
Eligibility
• The applicants must be NB fruit and/or mixed vegetable growers who wish to extend their production and marketing season through the purchase of season extension and on-farm storage technologies.
• The applicants’ production activities are carried out within the province of New Brunswick.
• The applicants must be 19 years of age or over.
Description
The Capturing Crop Opportunities Through Season Extension and On-Farm Storage Technologies Program will provide assistance to fruit and mixed vegetable growers who want to purchase season extension (i.e. heated, unheated greenhouses or high tunnels), pre-cooling (post-harvest) and on-farm storage technologies.
