    A range of laboratory analyses is available to verify the nutrient content of feeds that make up livestock rations.

    Eligibility

    Laboratory tests are available to the general public. Individuals holding a valid Registered Professional Agricultural Producer (RPAP) card, or the farm business which they carry on, are eligible for the “producer” rates.

    Description

    A Basic Feed Package includes analysis for dry matter and protein content. A range of additional analyses may be added to customize results to individual needs. These include: mineral elements, acid detergent fiber (ADF), neutral detergent fiber (NDF), fat, ash, pH and bound or soluble protein. The Hagberg Index (= Falling number) is available on grain samples. A detailed list of mineral elements tested for is available upon request.

    A sample preparation fee will be applied to most of these additional analyses when requested without the Basic Feed Package.
