Overview
The Strategic Initiatives Fund (SIF) program provides grants to assist in covering some of the cost of projects/activities/initiatives that uses innovative approaches in order to strengthen the economic/strategic contribution of the cultural and artistic sector in New Brunswick.
Eligibility
Non-profit arts organizations and for-profit cultural businesses that operate as a Canadian company held and controlled by New Brunswick residents.
Municipalities and First Nations with a cultural policy.

Description
The program is designed to:
• encourage cultural events/activities that has the potential to support or contribute to the vision of Government and within the context of the Cultural Policy.
• assist groups and organizations in implementing innovative approaches that furthers community cultural and artistic development;
• support events/activities that furthers the growth of cultural industries (i.e. Music, Film and New Media, Publishing, Fine Craft, Festivals, Visual Arts and Performing Arts).
Application process:
Applications for projects/activities/initiatives occurring in the year that begins with April 1st must at least six weeks prior to the event. Applications will be accepted until depletion of the budget for the current fiscal year.
