Youth Engagement Funding Program

Overview
Funding for the development of programs or services that help youth become more involved in their communities. Investments from this program are not intended to replace regular ongoing public - and private-sector activities
Eligibility
New Brunswick applicants only. Must be one of the following:
• Incorporated non-profit New Brunswick organization / network. (An unincorporated entity/network may apply if partnered with an incorporated organization. See guidelines).
• New Brunswick municipality (city, town or village) or incorporated rural community.
• New Brunswick organization / network with a democratic structure and a record of responsible governance.
• New Brunswick organization / network whose mandate and objectives reflect the value of youth engagement practices.
Projects must:
• Contribute to program objectives. (See guidelines)
• Occur within a specific timeframe.
• Show outcomes with a thorough and precise plan.
• Involve youth in all aspects of the project (for instance: planning, implementation and evaluation).
• Have at least one other source of funding or in-kind support.
• Confirm in writing other sources of support.
Eligible expenditures include:
• Travel costs
• Salaries and benefits
• Honoraria / professional fees
• Facility rental and utilities
• Office equipment and furniture
• Materials and supplies
• Publicity and promotion
• Audit and evaluation
Description
Assistance will be in the form of non-repayable grants. Only one grant will be available for each approved applicant per fiscal year. The maximum financial support available to an eligible recipient will vary, depending on the complexity and scope of the project and the applicants’ demonstrated capacity to undertake eligible activities. Project activities must be completed within 12 months of receipt of funds. Requests for multi-year funding will not be considered. See guidelines for details on application and review process.
