The objective of Aquaculture Research is to provide the New Brunswick aquaculture industry with the appropriate research activities to ensure the industry remains at the forefront of technical and scientific developments.

Description
Aquaculture research activities located at the Aquarium and Marine Centre in Shippagan consists mostly of applied research in the development of shellfish and finfish species for the diversification and growth of aquaculture in New Brunswick. The aquaculture research team focuses mainly on new species with potential for aquaculture diversification, for example, haddock, halibut, Arctic char, quahogs and bar clams.
