FREDERICTON (GNB) – The provincial government is adding more community offices to help New Brunswickers recover from the spring flood.

“Some communities need a longer-term solution to make sure people get the help they need,” Justice and Public Safety Minister Denis Landry said. “The province is committed to making sure New Brunswickers have the information and support they need to get their lives back to normal as soon as possible.”

Community offices will open at the Maugerville Community Centre, 439 Rte. 105, and at the Rothesay Town Hall, 70 Hampton Rd., on Monday, June 11. The hours of operation will be Monday to Friday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m until further notice.

A community liaison officer will be on hand to assist with questions and issues related to recovery, including disaster financial assistance.

Residents should call 506-444-2012 to book an appointment for the office at Maugerville Community Centre and 506-848-6600 to book an appointment at the Rothesay Town Hall.
