Results of Oct. 3 plebiscite released04 October 2011
FREDERICTON (CNB) – A majority of voters participating in a recent plebiscite has voted in favour of creating a rural community of Kedgwick.
The community would incorporate the Local Service District of the Parish of Grimmer and the Village of Kedgwick.
Three-hundred and thirty-seven votes (80 per cent) were in favour of the proposed incorporation, while 85 votes (20 per cent) were opposed.
The results are based on a plebiscite held Oct. 3; an advance poll held Sept. 24; and special ballots.
