Reminder to check smoke alarms and batteries
New Brunswickers are reminded to check their smoke alarms and batteries at their seasonal residences this summer as part of the Alarmed and Ready campaign. Co-sponsored by the Department of Public Safety's Office of the Fire Marshal and the Insurance Bureau of Canada, the campaign has fire department staff going door-to-door and providing a free smoke alarm for homes that do not already have one, and replacement batteries for those that do.
