The Women’s Issues Branch promotes the use of gender-based diversity analysis in problem definition and problem solving.
Gender-based diversity analysis is done to improve the efficiency and impact of policy and practices, to make them more inclusive and responsive to the needs of all concerned citizens and to reduce inequalities between the sexes and between other groups in society.
Additional information about gender-based diversity analysis can be found on this site, under Publications and Archived Publications.
The Women’s Issues Branch can provide consultation services and advice on this type of analysis of initiatives and policies. While this service is mostly meant for government bodies and public policies and initiatives, requests for advice and information from nongovernmental groups will be answered, if the potential result is improved service to the general public through more inclusiveness and gender equality.
