What is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM)?

SAAM is a month dedicated to raising awareness of sexual violence to all members of our communities, and to highlight the need for support and services to those affected by sexual assault.

 

May 2017 marks the seventh annual Sexual Assault Awareness Month campaign in NB.

Sexual Assault is…                                                               

Sexual Assault is any type of sexual activity that is unwanted, by someone to whom you have not given your consent.  A sexual assault may include the use of physical force, threats or intimidation. 

Sexual assault is a crime.
