Award-winning counselling service recognized
During the fall session of the legislative assembly, Social Development Minister Cathy Rogers recently congratulated and recognized Family Enrichment Counselling Service for winning the prestigious Muriel McQueen Fergusson Foundation Award. The group was recognized for their 30 years of committed leadership and work in the Fredericton region in the area of domestic violence. The organization has carried out interventions and offered counselling and support groups for women, men and children who have been affected by domestic violence. Rogers said the group is a shining example of a strong, committed, community partnership with the Department of Social Development.
