New ministerial role, appointments and changes to cabinet announced
A new minister responsible for public engagement was appointed today by Premier Shawn Graham, and one minister added deputy premier to his responsibilities. In addition, vacancies in the cabinet were filled by adding two new ministers to cabinet, and with one minister changing portfolio. From left: Justice and Consumer Affairs Minister Bernard LeBlanc, who is also minister responsible for Public Engagement; Minister of State for Seniors, Cheryl Lavoie, who is also minister responsible for the Community Non-profit Organizations Secretariat; Graham; Deputy Premier and Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour Minister Donald Arseneault, who is also minister responsible for the Northern New Brunswick Initiative; and Tourism and Parks Minister Brian Kenny.
