Premier discusses New Brunswick’s economy and senior care during meetings in Ottawa16 February 2018
FREDERICTON (GNB) – Premier Brian Gallant met with several federal cabinet ministers in Ottawa today to discuss senior care, cybersecurity and energy.
“These meetings were an opportunity to discuss the New Brunswick economy and senior care in our province,” said Gallant. “We had great discussions about how New Brunswick, with the federal government’s support, could find innovative ways to provide strong senior care to our aging population.”
Gallant met with Health Minister Ginette Petitpas Taylor; Canadian Heritage Minister Mélanie Joly; Finance Minister Bill Morneau; Families, Children and Social Development Minister Jean-Yves Duclos; Natural Resources Minister Jim Carr; and Status of Women Minister Maryam Monsef.
“We had some positive discussions about how cybersecurity and energy are industries that can spur economic growth in New Brunswick,” said Gallant.
