NOTE: This schedule does not apply to individual who are attending Block Release training through their Apprenticeship program.

Individuals wishing to challenge a certification examination must have an approved application for certification prior to being scheduled for an examination. For more information on the Avenues of Certification, please click on the link on your right: "What are the Avenues of Certification".

You must contact the Apprenticeship office closest to your residence at least 30 working days prior to the exam sitting date.

Exam Schedule

Code books, if required for your examination, will be supplied. You may bring a cordless, pocket-sized calculator with you to the examination. Scientific calculators are permitted when writing an examination; programmable or trade specific calculators, cellular phones, wireless communication devices, personal data assistants, cameras and all other electronic equipment that can store or transmit data are prohibited when writing an examination.

You must produce your “notice of examination sitting” letter along with photo identification when you appear for your examination. Should you fail to provide the required identification, you will not be permitted to challenge your examination.

Examination fees must be paid in full prior to the commencement of your examination writing.

If you are unable to attend the sitting, you must contact your regional office at least two weeks prior to the examination date. Should you fail to do so, you will not be notified of any future examination sittings.
