Water and Wastewater Operator Exams

Entry-level agents or brokers wishing to obtain a license for general (other-than-life) insurance must successfully complete and attain a mark of a least seventy-five percent on the Fundamentals of Insurance exam, as required by the Superintendent of Insurance for New Brunswick.
These exams are administered by the Certification Unit at regularly scheduled sessions. Upon successful completion of the exam, a license can be requested from the Department of Justice, Insurance Branch.

Entry-level agents wishing to obtain a license for Life or Accident and Sickness. Insurance must pass a provincial exam following the successful completion and certification from a Life Licensing Qualification Program (LLQP) pre-licensing course provided by an approved course provider, as required by the Superintendent of Insurance for New Brunswick.
Durham College in Ontario is presently under contract to act as the National Administrator for LLQP Examinations. Exams (Full Life and Accident and Sickness) are administered by this unit but registration is through Durham College. Exams are written monthly in Fredericton.

Anyone wishing to qualify for Class "D" (Landscape) Certification must successfully complete a Core Exam and a Landscape exam.
Individuals wishing to write a Core and/or a Landscape exam must first register with the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour. The $75 registration fee must accompany the registration form, along with the $25 annual certification application fee which is to be paid at the beginning of each calendar year at the same time the first exam for that year is paid for. Fees are non-refundable + non-tranferrable
Individuals may write three (3) times in one calendar year with no wait in between. The pass mark is 75%.
These exams are administered by the Certification Unit at regularly scheduled sessions. Upon successful completion, a license will be mailed to the individual from the Department of Environment.

Individuals wishing to participate in the Atlantic Canada Water and Wastewater Voluntary Certification Program must successfully complete a Water and Wastewater Operator's exam.
Individuals must first register with the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour. The $100 non-refundable registration fee must accompany the registration form.
Individuals who fail an exam must wait six (6) months in between each rewrite. The pass mark is 70%.
These exams are administered by the Certification Unit at regularly scheduled sessions. Upon successful completion, a certificate will be mailed to the individual, along with a transcript of marks.
