The Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification Branch has appointed an Education and Compliance Officer (ECO) to ensure compliance under the authority of the Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification Act and General Regulation.
The ECO will educate the public and stakeholders on the role of Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification, the importance of hiring certified journeypersons and address the need for compliance with legislation. The Officer will also be available to meet or speak with any individual, employer or group to provide clarification of the requirements of the Act.
Any person may make a formal complaint alleging an employer, employee or worker is in non-compliance with the Act by completing an application for an alleged violation.
