The Days of Rest Act identifies specific days during the year that businesses must be closed. These days include the weekly day of rest (Sunday) and ten prescribed days of rest; New Year's Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, New Brunswick Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

New Year's Day January 1st
Good Friday the Friday before Easter Sunday. Easter Sunday is the first Sunday after the full moon after March 21st. If the full moon falls on a Sunday, Easter is the next Sunday.
Victoria Day the first Monday before May 25th
Canada Day July 1st (If July 1st falls on Sunday, Monay, July 2nd replaces July 1st as Canada Day)
New Brunswick Day the first Monday in August
Labour Day the first Monday in September
Thanksgiving Day the second Monday in October
Remembrance Day November 11th
Christmas Day December 25th
Boxing Day December 26th
