Foreign Resident Corporation
The Foreign Resident Corporation Act is a highly specialized Act which deals with the continuance into New Brunswick of foreign corporation in the time of emergency.
A foreign corporation incorporated outside of New Brunswick may pre-file an application to continue into New Brunswick as a foreign resident corporation.
This is a fundamentally different process than the continuance of a corporation into New Brunswick under the Business Corporation Act.
Upon receipt of the appropriate application and fee and upon review, the Minister responsible for Service New Brunswick may issue a certificate recognizing the continuance within New Brunswick of the foreign corporation.
Provisions exist under the Act to address the updating of the pre-filed applications and any authorization issued by the Minister.
Unless otherwise specified, Fees exclude the harmonized sales tax (HST).
