The Hon. Wilfred Roussel, Minister of Agriculture, Mines and Rural Affairs cordially invites you to attend the 43rd annual Exploration, Mining and Petroleum (EMP) conference being held in Fredericton.

This conference is a cooperative effort between the Department, the New Brunswick Prospectors and Developers Association, and the New Brunswick Branch of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum. The conference aims to highlight current government and industry activity in the province.

New Brunswick has a wide range of geological environments and is a proven producer of world class mines, the entire province being geographically accessible for exploration. New Brunswick also offers a variety of opportunities and advantages which include a comprehensive regulatory regime, an extensive industrial development infrastructure and a prime global location.

The 2018 conference program will offer a broad range of topics for delegates. Department staff will report on recent geoscientific field work and industry representatives will provide progress reports for several mineral exploration and development projects ongoing in the province.

Minister Roussel and his staff look forward to meeting you at the 2018 EMP conference to discuss current exploration and development activities and the potential for future mineral resource exploration and development in New Brunswick. This is an exciting time for our Province as we see exploration on the ground increasing which is reflective of recovering markets and a bright future for New Brunswick.
