Government of New Brunswick

The Index of the Quality of the Air (IQUA) is a service provided by the New Brunswick Department of the Environment and is updated three times per day, seven days a week.

IQUA measures the following compounds: sulphur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, ozone, and hydrogen sulphide, based on data collected from stations in southern New Brunswick.

New Brunswick air quality data is also provided to Environment Canada for the purposes of generating Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) values for Fredericton, Saint John, Moncton, Bathurst, Edmundston, Campbellton, and Miramichi. Hourly AQHI values can be found at Environment Canada’s AQHI website.
