On October 19, 2011, Jody Carr, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development announced the establishment of a task force to review the decision to change the entry point for early French Immersion.
The task force will hold public dialogue sessions between November 1, 2011 and December 15, 2011. These sessions will consist of facilitated table discussions based on a series of questions. A recorder at each table will prepare a summary of the discussion at each table and report back at the end of the session along with providing a written summary to the task force.
Between November 1, 2011 and December 18, 2011 New Brunswickers can also respond to the same questions available at the public dialogue sessions through an online questionnaire or make a submission by fax or mail.
Following the public consultation phase, all information gathered at the public dialogue sessions, through the online questionnaire and by fax or mail will be culminated and reviewed by the task force in preparation for their recommendations which are expected early in 2012.
