Each C&Y team is composed of at least four service professionals who are experts in providing assessment and intervention services in school, community and family settings. These professionals include:
- school psychologists;
- mental-health and addictions social workers and psychologists;
- school counsellors;
- support services to education social workers or psychologists; and
- interventionists (child and youth care workers).
Each team will be led by a senior clinician, who will assign cases and monitor clinical service delivery. The teams will meet twice a week to review clients’ progress and the outcomes of the most recent intervention strategies, as well as to assign new referrals. In addition, team members will develop a work schedule to co-ordinate key assessment and treatment for their clients.
