Government of New Brunswick

The Canadian economy benefits when businesses from across the country work together. In the past, New Brunswick has taken a leadership role in developing strong supply-chain relationships with partners in other Canadian Provinces. New Brunswick companies have particular strengths in engineering, procurement and construction and the province is home to a mobile workforce of cooperative, capable and willing workers. Local companies continue to partner with firms across Canada on large industrial projects in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Newfoundland and Labrador, Quebec, Nova Scotia and elsewhere.

Significant opportunities are emerging in projects across Canada including:

  • hydro-electric generation and transmission
  • mining operations
  • onshore and offshore oil and gas development
  • supply chains related to the Canada First Defense strategy and the National Shipbuilding Procurement Strategy

Get Prepared / Get Involved

The government of New Brunswick offers support to companies that are interested in working with large industrial projects. Often clients and buyers in large industrial projects have requirements to qualify suppliers. The New Brunswick Department of Economic Development provides guidance and coordinates programs with various departments to assist entry into supply chains including business investment in:

  • development costs
  • productivity
  • training
  • certification

Staff from the Department can also assist companies with needs related to market development, project financing and working capital.
