The New Brunswick cranberry industry has grown from 25 acres in the early 1990s to well over 800 acres at present and is continuing to grow.  Production practices continue to be refined and new higher yielding varieties are being planted in new and renovated fields.

The five year average yield per acre has increased from 13,000 in the mid 1990’s to some fields producing over 30,000 lbs/ac on a regular basis.
