A Part I Crown corporation created to deliver shared services for the
Government of New Brunswick with the express purpose of standardizing
services and reducing costs. Its mission is to provide high-quality,
innovative services for customers with a focus on value for all New
Brunswickers.

This new Branch will combine the responsibilities of the Land Information Infrastructure Secretariat and the business operations of our common infrastructure that support the delivery of services to business and citizens such as GeoNB, Identity Management, Licensing and Permitting, Internet, Bizpal and GBiz.

To carry out accounting functions for account payable, fixed assets,
payroll, bank reconciliations and related financial services. To provide
accounting advice, reports and financial statements.

This Division will be responsible for four key areas:
Planning and Strategic Capacity; Policy; Research and Innovation and
Partner Relations

This Division will have an expanded role to strengthen, from a
governance and strategic perspective, our partner relations. It will also
have a strengthen focus on Innovation and Strategic Capacity. The
Division will retain responsibility for business planning and policy and
legislation. The responsibility for oversight of protection of privacy will
be transferred from Corporate Counsel to this new Division to align
with the changes to legislation that has brought together Right to
Information and Privacy.

Process Improvement and Change Management Branch: This Branch
will continue to support the Corporation with facilitative expertise in
business process improvement and will step up to a more active role in
change management. With both process improvement and change
management, this Branch plays a supportive role to business owners by
facilitation and coaching in best practice methodologies.

The Policy Branch is responsible for advancing Service New Brunswick's
legislation and corporate policies, as well as liaising with central
departments and other governments on policy issues. The Branch
coordinates Service New Brunswick's briefing materials for the President
and Minister and is responsible for the access to information and
protection of personal information within the Corporation.

In addition to being responsible for the day to day communication needs
of the Corporation and the Intranet, CBCE focuses on brand promotion
and alignment within the Corporation and on internal communications.
Further, they are responsible for the coordination of all satisfaction
surveys within SNB. This provides a consistent approach on the
execution and analysis of all surveys to customers, partners and
employees. This also includes the management of the Citizen
Engagement Toolkit.

"Financial Systems and Business Intelligence Unit is responsible for
managing and supporting the integration of financial and operational
data to SNB's financial and reporting systems. The unit is also
responsible to help manage those systems for the benefit of both internal
and external customers, clients and partners ."

To ensure information is managed appropriately throughout its lifecycle,
in
compliance with applicable laws, policies, best practices, and standards.

The Corporation's Internal Auditor reports administratively to the Director
of Information Management and Compliance, and functionally to the
audit committee. The internal audit function serves management by
providing an independent appraisal activity, which extends to all divisions
of the Corporation. It also coordinates Enterprise Risk Management.

The New Brunswick Translation Bureau assists government in fulfilling its obligations for bilingual services as outlined in the Official Languages of New Brunswick Act. The Bureau provides services such as written translation (from English into French and French into English), simultaneous interpretation for conferences, seminars, and other gatherings, consecutive interpretation for court proceedings and administrative tribunal hearings and other linguistic services.

Translation means the rendition in writing, of a French or English text into the other official language. The French and English sections provide quality translation, revision and proofreading services to departments and agencies listed in Part 1 of the Public Sector Service Labour Relations Act.

This section is responsible for managing the resources required in the development, maintenance and evaluation of quality services of the Bureau. Key Result Areas include: Management Information System, Administrative Support and Quality of Services.

Interpretation means oral translation which includes simultaneous and
consecutive interpretation. Simultaneous is performed at the same time
that the speaker is speaking while consecutive interpretation is
performed after the person has finished speaking. This section is
responsible to provide quality consecutive and simultaneous
interpretation from French to English and English to French at meetings
held throughout New Brunswick and organized by departments and
agencies of the Province of New Brunswick including the provision of
such services at inquests, hearings, examinations for discovery and
trials held in provincial courts. This section is also responsible to
provide interpretation services at sittings of the Legislative Assembly of
New Brunswick and its committees.

Postal Services (Unit) - Postal Services provides centralized mailing
services to government departments and agencies, including
processing a number of large recurring mail-outs, such as Family and
Community Services payments, government payroll and vendor
cheques. Postal Services has specialized equipment for folding,
inserting and metering of mail pieces. The operation has staff in ten
regions throughout the province who distribute inter-office mail at no
cost to user departments.

Printing Services (Unit) - Printing Services provides a high speed
duplicating service as well as offering collating, cutting, binding, and
other related services. These services are provided to all government
departments on request and work is charged back at approved rates.
The printing operation is located in the Centennial Building.

The Operations Division is responsible for all service delivery aspects
of
the Corporation including the provision of government services in 39
centres as well as teleservices and electronic channels. In addition,
the
Division is responsible for the personal property, land, corporate and
vital
statistics registries as well as the property assessment, rentalsman,
and
the land information infrastructure.

A change in title for Property Assessment Services from Assessment
Services will help bring some clarity to this function for the public.

Vital Statistics verifies, registers, maintains, and disseminates birth,
death, stillbirth and marriage data (vital events); searches records,
issues certificates of a vital event, distributes marriage licences,
approves and registers changes of name; registers and maintains an
index of churches/religions authorized to solemnize marriages in New
Brunswick and produces vital events data.

The Land Registry provides security of tenure by facilitating land-based
transactions and maintaining records to New Brunswickers’ rights,
restrictions and obligations in land. The Land Registry Unit maintains a
registry of legal plans and documents such as deeds, mortgages and
survey plans relating to the ownership of real property. Land Registry
records date back to 1784 and are available for public scrutiny. The Land
Registry Unit also maintains a province-wide GPS survey network and
administers the Condominium Property program.

The Personal Property Registry (PPR) provides remote and convenient
access to information about personal property security notices for more
effective commercial and consumer protection.

The Lien Check Service provides Internet access to the PPR to identify
liens on personal property that is a motor vehicle, trailer, mobile home,
airplane, boat, or outboard motor via the Internet (an ACOL Client
Account is not required). This can help protect you from purchasing
personal property that may be subject to seizure.

Corporate Registry is responsible for the registration/incorporation of
corporations, non-profit companies, business name and partnership
name registrations, limited partnership registrations and extra-provincial
corporations. Corporate Registry is also responsible to maintain and
provide information to the public on corporations and companies.

Customer Care Branch replaces Service Delivery to better reflect our
focus on the customer. In addition to the operation of our Service
Centres and TeleServices, this branch will also be responsible for
Service Delivery Support, including Pleasure Craft Licensing. Further,
the responsibility for Service Level Agreement management and the
day-to-day relationship with partners on service improvements will
transfer to this Branch from Business Development.

Provides and manages over-the-counter Real Property and general transactional services provided by Service New Brunswick through its series of service centres throughout the Province

The International Registration Plan is a registration reciprocity agreement
among the states of the United States and the provinces of Canada
providing for payment of registration fees on the basis of the percentage
of distance operated in all jurisdictions
